Robert D. Sansbury, Sr., 96, of Catonsville, MD at Charlestown Senior Living Community in Catonsville, MD.

"Bob" was born February 10, 1927, passing away on the day of his 96th birthday, February 10, 2023.

Family, Charlestown & Gilchrist Hospice were with Bob at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth (née Robinson) married 71 years, daughter Judith Carter (née Sansbury), son, Robert Sansbury, Jr, as well as Judy & Bob’s spouses, Bill Carter & Gretchen Lehnert.

His beloved grandchildren are Meghan Kay (née Carter) and spouse Patrick, and Caitlin Carter and spouse Bradley Schleicher, and Gwen, Mac, and Gareth Sansbury.

He is also survived by 4 beloved great grandchildren: Claire, Charlotte, and Caroline Kay, and Isla Schleicher.

Bob was a career salesman with a gift of reading and understanding people.

Bob was baptized into the United Methodist Church and was, for many years, a "lay pastor".

Bob was active in the Catonsville community for many years, named the Grand Marshall of the 4th of July Parade.

Bob's faith and his family were the two most important things in his life.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, March 17, at 11 a.m. at Catonsville United Methodist Church.

Donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Gilchrist Hospice, or Meals on Wheels of Central MD, in lieu of flowers, may be made.
