Raymond David Phillips

On June 19, 2023, Raymond David Phillips, born on November 2, 1941, passed away at his

home after a long 24 year battle with Parkinson’s disease. His beloved wife, Stephanie Phillips,

and son, Stephen Phillips, were closely by his bedside as he took his last breath.

Raymond had so much taken away from him physically, but always seemed to remain positive

and upbeat. Stephanie, his dedicated spouse of 58 years, possessed infinite strength as his

caregiver until the end, where she focused on Raymond’s quality of life, determined to attempt to

win the battle with Parkinson’s and continue to assist him in enjoying life.

Raymond was always a kind and caring husband, father and grandfather. His interests included

learning and working on computers, being in the outdoors, watching sports, especially baseball

(Orioles), and spending quality time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and always

enjoyed teasing his grandchildren, Kyler and Brock, who always brought smiles to his face.

Raymond was also very fond of his daughter-in-law, Kelley, who was a great support until the

end of his life.

As per Raymond’s request, he will be cremated. There will be a private memorial and religious

service at Raymond’s home with only close family present.
