Larry Michael Barker

Larry Michael Barker passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2023, doing one of the things he loved best, watching classic black & white movies on his couch. Larry was born on August 27th, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to Ralph and Marge Barker and resided in the Baltimore area his entire life.

He is survived by his son, David Michael Barker and wife Susan, grandson William, granddaughter Juliette, brother David Barker and his wife Bunny, brother Mark Barker and his wife Dawn, sister Barbara Newbill and her husband John, brother Tom Neuberger and his wife Edie, and his WS Michael Malooly. He is also survived by his lifelong friends from the J-Boys and his many friends from DDS, ATAFA, Let’s Dance, and Looney’s.

“Big Lar” loved fitness, alternating days at the gym with walking miles around his neighborhood. He also loved sharing a meal with friends and family, steamed crabs were his favorite. Larry loved Ocean City, his favorite home away from home, where he enjoyed many good times with both friends and family. The OC boardwalk was his favorite place to walk and the inlet his favorite place to reflect.

A Celebration of Life, aka “Big A Party”, will be held in February and we will notify all friends and family once the date has been determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America in Larry’s name.
