Joseph (Joe) Patrick Wilson

Joseph Patrick Wilson (Joe) of Ellicott City, Maryland passed away in his home on April 30, 2021 where he was surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born on March 24, 1936 in Queens, New York. Raised in Queens, Joe grew up playing basketball and baseball and took his talent to play both sports collegiately for his local team St. John’s University. Joe excelled on the baseball field during his four years at SJU. Following his graduation in 1958, Joe began raising his family and soon started a long and successful career of 32 years with Loehmann’s, a National women’s clothing retailer. He began as a manager trainee and rose through the ranks to Executive Vice President until his retirement in 1994. Joe loved playing golf, swimming, reading and later in life grew fond of drawing and painting spending many afternoons honing his skills and creating his art. Most of all, he truly loved being a parent and grandparent and being with his family any chance that he could. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Marguerite, along with his children Joseph Michael and wife Karen, daughter Elizabeth Marie Migliaccio and husband Ben, son Donald Gregg and Mary Becker, and son Matthew Lee and wife Sharon as well as his 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Mass celebrating Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Church of the Resurrection located at 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Church of the Resurrection.
