Jeffrey Jay Jones

Jeffrey “Jeff” Jay Jones, 58, passed away at his home, with his long-term partner, Kornelia by his side on Sunday, June 12, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born on August 2, 1963 in St. Albans New York to Army LTC. Charles C. Jones (deceased) and Leatha Johns Jones. Jeff spent much of his youth as an army “brat” on various tours with his parents. Jeff loved life, adventures, rehabbing houses, vintage cars, and of course, his Jeeps. He did not know any strangers, if you were a stranger, that would soon change. Jeff enjoyed tinkering and tooling out. He always had a project (or several) at hand. He was profoundly positive through all situations and challenges. Jeff loved his family and friends. Jeff leaves behind his beloved long-term partner, Kornelia Gracia, they were never apart, his son Devin Jones and his fiancé Blair Grooms, as well as his newest pride and joy, his grand daughter Brynlee Jones. Jeff also leaves behind his loving mother, Leatha Jones. Jeff was a father figure to many, including Nick and Terry Gracia, as well as Nick and Danny Cipriano. He was also a Pipaw to Kornelia’s grandchildren, Kyla, TJ, and Kelsey Gracia. Jeff also leaves behind his uncle William Johns, and numerous cousins, and dear friends. Jeff was an amazing guy and will be missed by many. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at Donaldson’s (1411 Annapolis Rd, Odenton, MD 21113) on July 13, 2022 from 5-7pm. There will also be a celebration of life on July 14, 2022 at Perry’s (1210 Annapolis Rd, Odenton, MD 21113 from 2-7pm. Let’s send him to his next adventure with a positive celebration, like he was.
