Janine Lee Curry

Janine Lee Curry, 63, of Salisbury, MD ascended on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Alice Manor Nursing Home in Baltimore, MD. Born and raised in Salisbury, MD by the late Ellen Elizabeth Wilson Curry and Harold Lee Curry Sr. Janine is now reunited with her loving parents under the caring arms of the Heavenly Father absent from the weight of this world and a mortal coil.

She attended Wicomico County Public Schools for her formal education but sought her higher education in the Nursing Program at Wor-Wic Community College. In her last role as a Nursing Assistant, Janine served and supported the residents of the Holly Center in Salisbury, MD.

Janine enjoyed the outdoors, beaches above all else with California having a special place in her heart. She was an avid Scrabble player, also taking delight in reading and watching creations by Anne Rice. A lover of music, Janine enjoyed artists like Jill Scott, Floetry, KEM, and Marsha Ambrosius to name a few; but her favorite of all was Sade. A private person she stayed to herself, but those that would remember her would recall her affinity for fantasy, sci-fi and supernatural movies, and wawa coffee.

She was a dedicated daughter taking care of both parents in their later years of life. Janine was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched.

Janine is survived by her brothers Harold Lee Curry Jr. (Ruth) of San Antonio, TX and Marc Judson Curry of Salisbury, Md. Carrying her legacy are her daughters Kelley Lee Curry of Baltimore, MD and Ellen Naomi Curry of Salisbury, MD. In addition to her siblings and heirs, she leaves behind nephews, cousins and many other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
