James (Jim) Martin Murray January 28, 1946 – August 23, 2024

James (Jim) Martin Murray, a longtime resident of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 78 from advanced dementia.

Jim was born on January 28, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late James and Delores Murray. He graduated from Catonsville High School and Catonsville Community College. Jim’s love of music led him to play trombone and other instruments with numerous local bands including The Sentries. He served in the Navy, was a supervisor with C&P Telephone Company and worked in Communications with the State of Maryland.

Jim is survived by his daughters Karen (Jimmy) Webster and Denise Coughlin; granddaughter Amanda (Dave) Goodrich and Emily Coughlin; great granddaughter Addilynn Gereny; sisters Patricia (Tom) Riesner and Barbara Ralls; nephews Michael Riesner, Joshua (Mindy) Ralls and Matthew Ralls; great niece Addison Ralls and great nephew A.J. Ralls.

To respect Jim’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, and his family will be privately celebrating his life.
