George Earl Coleman, Jr.

George E. Coleman, Jr., age 76, passed away on January 27, 2023, from pneumonia. Born and raised in Maryland, he was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and George Coleman, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Coleman; daughter, Jennifer Coleman; son, George Coleman, III; grandchildren, Courtney and Riley Coleman; sister, Nancy Prentiss and her husband, George; brothers, John Coleman and his wife, Donna, Donald Coleman and his wife, Sharon, and Jack Coleman and his wife, Karen. George is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his companion, Denise Riley, and many, many friends.

George was an Army Veteran who served in Germany. He retired from Charlestown Retirement Community as a driver after 21 years – with no time missed or late! He was a member of Jesters Pleasure Club and American Legion Post 109.

George loved golf and socializing with friends and loved ones and was a huge Ravens and Orioles fan.

George will be placed to rest with honors at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 1:00pm.

A celebration of George’s life will be held at American Legion Post 109, 1610 Old Sulphur Spring Road, Halethorpe, MD 21227 on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 1:00pm-5:00pm.
