Donna Matheson Jaymont

Donna Matheson Jaymont, 102 years old, died peacefully at home in Baltimore, MD on Friday, May 20, 2022. Mrs. Jaymont was born in Hugo, CO on August 2, 1919 to Victoria and Alexander Matheson. She is survived by son John (Barb) Jaymont of Cincinnati, OH and son Douglas Jaymont of Baltimore, MD. Proud grandmother of Jeffrey (Anna) Jaymont, Brian (partner Sara Lechner) Jaymont, and Victoria (Dave) Lubnik. Loving great grandmother (Gigi) of Ava, Jack, Claire, Blair, and Stella. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Medard (Jerry) Jaymont. Mrs. Jaymont was a descendant of one of eastern Colorado’s pioneer families. Her grandparents, Hector and Elizabeth Matheson, were ranchers who raised sheep and cattle. After marriage she moved to Baltimore where she resided for 75 years, most recently at Oak Crest Village. Mrs. Jaymont was an active member of the Mt. Washington Club (25 years) and a volunteer (25 years) at GBMC as well as other organizations. Celebration of Life will take place on July 25, 2022 at 1:30 p.m., at the Oak Crest Village Chapel. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
