Dennis "Denny" Michael Glacken

Dennis “Denny” Michael Glacken, age 80, passed away from natural causes on February 20, 2023, at Saint Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. He was born on October 21, 1942, to the late Theresa and John Francis Glacken.

Denny is survived by his children Tobias Glacken (wife Sara), Amanda Wilson (husband Brad), and Dennis Glacken Jr. (wife Colleen), and his amazing grandchildren Madison, Gabby, Anderson, Ryleigh, and Audrey, along with two sisters, MaryJane and Melissa Glacken, and two brothers Ronald and Mark Glacken, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends that he cherished very deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Lenny, Leroy, Bobby, David, and Jimmy Glacken.

Denny served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was an avid fisherman and crabber. He spent many days on the water in his boat “Nam Rat” with his dear friends Kevin and Joe. Denny also loved watching old cowboy movies and was always up for a Baltimore Ravens or Orioles game. His Baltimore pride showed strong in his allegiance to the hometown teams through their ups and downs.

Services will be held privately at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you visit a park and/or make donations to the Maryland Park Service (https://www.shopdnr.com/MPS_Donations.aspx). Denny spent many hours of his life exploring the parks and waterways of Maryland and would be at peace knowing he inspired you to do the same.
