Denise René Adams, known to all who adored her as Dee or Dee Dee, who was a loving and compassionate caregiver for over 40 children, died on January 15th, 2021 at her home in Dundalk, Maryland. Her family announced the death. Dee was born Denise Renee Piper in 1956 in Baltimore MD, to parents Daniel Austin Piper and Clara DeLois Brown. She was a healing spirit, attributing her connection to the spiritual to her Cherokee ancestry. Dee was absolutely mesmerized by the moon and stars, the night sky becoming part of the many things she enjoyed sharing with her family. Dee believed in her heart she had lived many lives and was soulmates with her husband Bob in a previous life. Her purpose in this earthly life was to help others. She shared her joy through her passion for nature, gardening, stones, jewelry, candles, antiques, culture, and art. Dee was a gifted crafter, often seen thrifting and going to yard sales to find that perfect treasure to bring home so she could craft with her own children and her extended family of the children she cared for in her daycare. Traveling will never be the same without Dee, for she was always the avid planner, even tripping solo to Italy one year with a friend. Traveling didn’t end there though, she loved the beach all year around, and could often be seen setting out for crabbing with her husband. Dee loved animals, specifically pit bulls, almost as much as she loved attending games for the Ravens, the Orioles, or the Washington Capitals ice hockey team. Dee is survived by her devoted husband, Bob. In addition to her children, Leah, Taylor, and Tara and her grandchildren Holden, Chloe and Toula, Dee is mourned by her surviving sister Gloria. She was surrounded by her immediate family at the time of her passing. A celebration of her life, for all of her loved ones, is tentatively planned for the week of her birthday, in October 2021. Details will be made available later in the year.
