Dena Gene Trail

Dena Gene Trail, died at her home on Thursday, April 27 2023. She was 68. Born in Benton Harbor, MI where she lived with her family until moving to Watervliet MI in 1970 and graduated from WHS in 1972.

A graduate of the University of Michigan with a BS in Social Science in 1976. She spent a year as a Peace Corp volunteer in Africa and Costa Rica.

She moved to the Baltimore MD area in 1978 and found her home.

Dena spent the last 24 years at her job with the Baltimore County Health District. Her current position was as a Human Services Program Supervisor.

Dena was a animal lover, mainly cats, a voracious reader, an advocate of people and an ally to many. Her friends and family referred to her as fun, intelligent, humble, genuine and boldly generous. She always had a smile to share.

Dena is proceeded by her sister Karrie Trail, her father, John Trail, and mother, Dolores Trail. All of Watervliet, MI. She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Trail of Blue Ridge GA.

Services are scheduled at McNabb’s Funeral Home in Catonsville, MD on Sat, May 6, 2023, from 12 noon to 3:00pm. The family is asking in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Phoenix Wildlife. A second service will be held in Watervliet, MI in July 2023.
