Carl Frank Weiss passed away peacefully on October 14, 2019. He was born March 4, 1925 in Fullerton, Pennsylvania to Frank Weiss and Frances Philapitsch Weiss. He was a first generation American, the son of Austrian immigrants. As part of the Greatest Generation, Carl served proudly in Europe during WWII as part of the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Following the war, he began a successful career as a telephone technician with Western Electric and later AT&T. He enjoyed a long and happy marriage to the love of his life, Anne Buck Weiss. Carl was a kind and gentle person who gave generously to his family and community and whose charity will leave a lasting legacy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Frances Weiss, his sister, Elizabeth Weiss Domenico, and his wife, Anne Buck Weiss. He is survived by his niece, Ellen Domenico Boyd of Davidson, NC and her husband, Clay H. Boyd and daughters, Jill F. Boyd and Jan E. Boyd. The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the staff of Vantage Point, where Carl was a resident, and to the staff of Gilchrist Hospice for the exemplary care they provided.
