Bernardine Mildred Harris

On February 2, 2023, Bernardine Mildred Harris (nee Eberle), passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was 87 years old. Bernardine was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Bernardine is survived by her daughter Jeanne M. Brasefield (and husband, Ron), her son Christopher J. Harris (and wife, Dianne), and her son James P. Harris (and wife, Mary) as well as three handsome grandsons, Nicholas C., Jacob C. and Gavin P., who she adored with all of her heart.

Bernardine worked as a cashier at Giant Food where she retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Bernardine was an avid reader, especially of history. She cherished any time she could spend with her family or attend the many events her three grandsons participated in.

Bernardine is survived by her brother, Howard J. Eberle (and wife, Joann) of Lewes, DE as well as many nieces/great-nieces and nephews/great-nephews.

Those closest to Bernardine know she was a private person. Her wish was to be cremated with no final services. Instead, please celebrate and honor Bernardine’s life with a donation in her name to Gilchrist Hospice, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031 (be sure to note the donation is in Bernardine’s memory).
