In Loving Memory of Anke Knoblock

Anke Knoblock, born on May 5, 1965, in Gerolstein, Germany, peacefully passed away on November 9, 2023 at the age of 58. Anke courageously battled type 2 diabetes for the past 2.5 years. Despite the efforts of the medical team at the University of Maryland Medical Center, complications arose, and Anke, beloved mother, Oma, and friend, was unable to recover.

Raised in Malberg, Germany, Anke pursued her passion for hospitality, graduating from Hotelfachschule am Tegernsee in Bavaria, Germany. In 1993, she began a new chapter, marrying a U.S. Airman and relocating to the United States with her daughter Sarah.

Anke found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as cooking, reading, knitting, crocheting, and exploring history.

She is survived by her daughter Sarah, son-in-law Ben, grandchildren Alessa and Bradley, and many lifelong friends and extended family both in the US and in Germany. Anke will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Anke's life will be held on November 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Fellowship Hall, 5971 Mineral Hill Rd, Eldersburg, MD, 21784. If you would like to send flowers, but cannot schedule them to arrive after noon, please reach out to Ben and Sarah for their address.
