Bobby Gibson

Bobby Gibson, 72, of Gambrills, MD, passed away surrounded by his loving family at home in

the early afternoon of October 31, 2023. Born on January 1, 1951, in Laurel, Maryland. Bobby

was a lifelong resident of the Jessup and Laurel areas. He is preceded in death by his loving

and cherished wife, Sandy; his parents, Richard and Kate Gibson; his sister, Judy Tucker; and

his mother-in-law, Charlotte Evans. He is survived by his brothers Clarence Gibson and wife

Shirley, Larry Gibson and wife Jody; his children, Marsha Gibson and partner Ruth Stansbury,

Karen Hayes and husband Richard, Bobby Gibson and wife Donna, and Tracy Mogel and

husband David. He is also survived by his grandchildren Megan Fannon, Makayla Mogel, Cody

Hayes, and Brayden Mogel; his great-grandchild Patrick Fannon; and his cousins Debbie

Peterson and Frankie Bowers.

Bobby was a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather who loved the Baltimore Orioles,

NASCAR, and the Baltimore Ravens. He enjoyed his weekly AARP Poker Club meetings that

were filled with hardy laughs, memorable stories, and his favorite snacks. A small graveside

service will be held at Nichols Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery, 1400 Route 175,Odenton, MD,

Saturday November 11, 2023, 11:00 am, immediately followed by a celebration of Bobby’s life

for all family and friends at Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church (1239 Murray Rd., Odenton, MD).
